Gokuu leaves using Kintoen and goes to Bulma's home town. After beating a boxer in a fight, Gokuu earns 100,000 zennii. Not knowing what money is, Gokuu gives a large sum of it away trying to find Bulma.
Meanwhile, at the Red Ribbon's Headquarters, wanted pictures are given to everyone about Gokuu. Red orders everyone to get the Dragonballs, and the Dragonball Radar.
Bulma shows Gokuu her new microband. It lets her shrink herself, which means that she stand on Gokuu when he's riding Kintoen. They then leave to find the other Dragonballs. They need a submarine to find the next Dragonball, so Bulma swaps her watch for one. There, they go to Kamesennin's island and meets Kuririn and Ranchi. Together, they all go to get the Dragonballs, only to fight the Blue Shogun. All of Blue's soldiers are killed, and Blue is thrown to the other side of the world (with the Dragonball Radar that he stole off them). He finds the Dragonball, but it still isn't the right one, so Gokuu heads off into Yellow Shoguns land to find the other Dragonballs. Yellow tries to get the Dragonball of the Indian Bopa, and fails. So Red Ribbon sends in TaoPiePie to take over. Bopa has the #4 Dragonball. Gokuu swaps all of his Dragonballs for the #4 Dragonball. Gokuu then asks about the tower behind him. Bopa tells him that it is where the magic water is, which gives you super power. TaoPiePie then appears and fights with Bopa, killing him. Gokuu does Kamehame-ha on TaoPiePie, but it doesn't effect him. TaoPiePie gets angry at Gokuu, and shoots Dodon at him, killing Gokuu. TaoPiePie takes Bopa's Dragonballs, and leaves. Gokuu comes back to life. This is done by his Grandfather, Gohan, giving Gokuu life again. Gokuu makes a promise to Bopa's son, Upa, to wish Bopa back to life by using the Dragonballs. Gokuu then heads up Karin tower (the one behind him) to seek out the magic water (Gokuu is trying to get strong enough to beat TaoPiePie. At the top of the tower, Gokuu meets a cat, Senpyou. Senpyou is the guardian of the water, which means Gokuu has to win the water off him.
Gokuu tries to attack the cat for the water, but Senpyou counters-attacks everything. Eventually, Gokuu gets exhausted; so Senpyou gives Gokuu a senzu seed, which recharges Gokuu back to full health. Senpyou tells Gokuu that it had taken Kamesennin three years to get the water. In desperation, Gokuu does the "One Pattern" attack on a massive scale, but still fails. They fight until its time to sleep. Senpyou falls asleep, but Gokuu's honesty stops him from stealing the water. The next morning, Gokuu tickles Senpyou. The cat drops his staff and the water, which Gokuu quickly takes. However, when Gokuu drinks the Chousei Water, nothing happens. This is because the water is normal tap water. All of the fighting which you done to get the water is what makes you stronger. Happy with the results, Gokuu leaves.
TaoPiePie then returns to get the #4 Dragonball off Gokuu. They fight, and Gokuu is winning. TaoPiePie can't believe how strong Gokuu had gotten in only three days. TaoPiePie then throws a bomb at Gokuu. Gokuu kicks it back up at TaoPiePie, where it explodes, killing the TaoPiePie instantly.
Gokuu then goes to Red Ribbons Headquarters to get the next two Dragonballs. He kills everyone and destroys the headquarters. Gokuu leaves with the other two Dragonballs. This is a surprise to all of Gokuu's friends as he singly handedly annihilated the Red Ribbon HQ and all of its specially trained armed forces. Unable to find the last Dragonball (even with the Dragonball Radar), Gokuu unites with his old friends. Kamesennin tells Gokuu to seek Uranai Baba. Baba with answer any question by either being paid 10 million zennii, or defeating her five warriors. Gokuu and his friends take the challenge to beat the five warriors. They are forced to fight:
· Dracula Man
· Invisible Man
· Mummy
· Akkuman (devil)
· Mysterious Ghost
Upa and Pool fight together and kill Dracula Man (they are allowed to as they are so small). Yamcha fights the Invisible Man, but is losing. So Kuririn takes of Bulma's top, which make Kamesennin have a nose bleed. The Invisible Man is then covered in blood, so Yamcha easily beats him. Gokuu beats up the Mummy and Akkuman.
The Mysterious Ghost (Gohan's Spirit) and Gokuu are evenly matched. But Gohan knows Gokuu's weakness. Gohan grabs Gokuu's tail, and Gokuu loses all of his strength. Gohan is about to kill Gokuu when the tail snaps off. Gohan then forfeits the match after seeing how mad he made Gokuu. Gohan takes off his mask, and Gokuu recognizes him. Uranai Baba then tells Gokuu that the remaining Dragonball is in an approaching car, 200 km away. Everyone exchanges good-byes, and Gokuu leaves.
Gokuu fights Palif (the person driving in the car with the last Dragonball). Palif tells his mechs Shuu and Mei to kill Gokuu, but they fail. Gokuu lets them live, in exchange for the Dragonball. Gokuu returns to the Karin tower will all seven balls, and then summons Shenlong. Upa wishes his father to have life again, and Bopa comes out of his grave. As the Dragonballs fly off, Gokuu grabs the #4 one.
Gokuu then reunites with his friends. Gokuu then announces that he'll enter the next Tenkaichi-Budokai. Yamcha and Kuririn will also enter the contest under the training of Kamesennin. Kamesennin tells Gokuu to train himself by running around the world. They then say their good-byes and split again.
